Gamefish Species:

Largemouth Bass / Yellow Perch

This is a great fishing spot for both the trophy hunter or the camper / angler. Partridge Lake is home to monster  Bass and is also a numbers lake. Rainbow Airways strongly encourages anglers to live release all Partridge Lake bass over 16 inches (2 pounds). By so doing, the incredible trophy stock will not be depleted and the opportunity to catch a truly big bass will always be available. A 7 - 10" plastic worm or jig 'n'pig fish along a weedline or breakline is a proven tactic.

Partridge Lake is also home to schools of jumbo yellow perch that are seldom fished, but make for great shore lunches. Easily located in deeper water with a good LCG, perch provide consistent fishing, especially when offered morsels of live bait.

A spacious campsite, ideally situated on the small island amidst Partridge Lake is the perfect spot to spend a couple of summer days fishing, swimming, canoeing, observing wildlife, relaxing.

Partridge Lake campsite

In late August / early September, the bass fishing really turns on and can be non-stop at times. Fishing a live frog off the weedlines / breaklines is an effective approach.

Partridge Lake is pristine and crystal clear - post-card-perfect for back lakes experiences. The trophy bassin' is simply another reason to go (or return - as we did - again and again).
